HOTEL INFORMATION
SHFG has reserved blocks of rooms at two hotels near the Byrd Center.
The Bavarian Inn is a 10 minute walk from the conference center. Please mention the SHFG meeting when calling (304-876-2551) to make a reservation.
The Clarion Hotel is approximately 1 mile from the conference center. Please call 304-876-7000 and ask for the “Meeting of the Society for History of the Federal Government Block” to make reservations.
PARKING AND SHUTTLE BUS
There is VERY limited parking on the campus of Shepherd University on Friday afternoon. Please plan to park in Shepherdstown (it's a short walk to the campus from downtown) or at one of the conference hotels. Shuttle service between the hotels and the Byrd Center will be provided. Campus parking is available on Saturday.
