Join SHFG for a Curator's tour of The Nation’s Stage, a special exhibition on view this fall at the US Capitol Visitor Center!

After going through the security checkpoint, we will meet at the Statue of Freedom, next to the exhibition entrance on the lower level.

The Nation’s Stage explores the traditions and ceremonies of Congress at the Capitol. These include the opening of a new Congress, inauguration, joint sessions, laying in state ceremonies and various holidays. Original artifacts include the Electoral College ballot boxes, tally sheets, speeches from John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln, cartoonist Charles Schulz’s Congressional Gold Medal, and china used at the 2009 inaugural luncheon.

Join us after the tour to catch up with colleagues at happy hour on the Hill
